THE PROJECT:
Metro North Long Island Railroad was looking to install (2) switchboards & (2) substation transformers. The requirements for this project were unique starting from various components required, all equipment to be 25 HERTZ while the standard frequency is 60 HERTZ. Furthermore, we needed to ensure these substations were to be close coupled/lined up correctly as well. With all these requirements needed for the MTA, we knew that Park was the best choice for the low voltage 25 HERTZ switchboards and Vantran Transformers for the 25 HERTZ substation transformers. We completed this project in success and was provided on time per the MTA timeline.
