THE PROJECT:
Calvi was the contractor on this transformer replacement for this hotel. After reviewing the conditions, the existing transformer dimensions, and pictures we decided that the manufacturer PEMCO would be the best fit for this project. PEMCO went to Harrah’s for a field visit to take measurements for the 2000KVA Dry Type Substation Transformer that was failing. PEMCO rebuilt the transformer on site and matched the nameplate of the existing transformer. This approach was the best as the hotel would hardly be shut down and save on rigging costs. The rebuild of the transformer was completed in less than 10 weeks.
